Do Care
Do Care has been providing social support to the older community since 1983.
Do Care provides social support programs for people over the age of 65, in the Colac/Otway region. We specialise in co-ordinating one-to-one companionship friendship for older people living either in their own home or in an aged care facility and who have limited opportunities for social interaction.
The service co-ordinates caring volunteers to visit these older people for a regular social chat, and perhaps to encourage them to enjoy the wider community.
Our volunteers regularly report that, as well as providing friendship for their clients, they too receive great satisfaction from this contact.
Social Support
Social Support provides support and activities for people wanting to improve their independence and confidence at home and in the community.
We help people to remain in their homes longer by helping them to:
- Regain and learn new skills
- Connect with others
- Develop wellness and physical health
Miller House provides a safe and comfortable environment. It also provides support to anyone caring for a relative, friend or elderly person living at home.
