The Board of Colac Area Health Foundation recently approved the purchase of a new Ultra Sound Machine valued at $48,000.
With the latest imaging technology, it will be used in a number of areas for procedures such as:
- Central line and IV insertion
- In Urgent Care for fast scans
- In theatre for nerve blocks and IV cannulation
- In Maternity for quick bedside scans to confirm a baby’s position and to assess the wellbeing of a baby by measuring the amount of fluid around the baby and the blood flow through the umbilical cord.
