Colac Area Health Foundation has recently funded the purchase of a new Bladder Scanner for Acute. Through the ‘Strengthening Rural Communities Program, $10,000 was granted from the Foundation for Rural Regional Renewal (FRRR), together with a donation of $5,000 from the Rotary Club of Colac. Both the Foundation and Colac Area Health are extremely thankful for their generosity.
The old Bladder Scanner was nearing ‘end of life’ and could not be fixed if it broke down. The nursing staff and our visiting Urologist regularly use the scanner for patients with bladder infections and to check patients who have had surgery to ensure they are ok to go home.
