Colac Area Health is extremely lucky to have generous people providing volunteer support in a range of areas of the health service including the Acute ward, Frank Minchinton Centre, Neighborhood House, Miller House and Birregurra Community Health Center.
They provide support and activities such as, driving, massage, gardening, social support, lifestyle support, palliative care, administration, one on one support in the home, maintenance, concierge, CAH Auxiliary, one-off fundraising events, Community Advisory Committee and more.
We would like to recognize all who were nominated this year for the Volunteer of the Year Award.

It was an extremely hard decision for the panel this year .
The panel couldn’t pick just one person but narrowed it down to three people who our judging panel chose epitomized the contribution all Volunteers make.. The recipients of the award are:
John Mills – quotations from his nomination are: We would be lost without him!’ and ‘Without this volunteer we would be hard pressed to accomplish our daily tasks’
Dawn Fielder – quotations from her nomination are: She is a god-send’ and ‘Everything she does is efficient and is warm and gregarious to all she meets.’
