Looking after healthcare workers

After announcing committed shopping hours for the elderly and those with disabilities, Coles has dedicated two trading hours per week to frontline healthcare workers.

Starting on Thursday, the first hour of trade on Tuesdays and Thursdays will be for emergency services and healthcare workers.

The supermarket giant says doctors, nurses, paramedics, hospital and ambulance staff, police, firefighters and emergency service workers who hold an AHPRA card, have a workplace ID or are wearing their work uniform will be able to shop during those hours.

Other venues are also offering special deals for healthcare workers.  MacDonalds say “Have a drink on us! We want to recognise the work of all healthcare workers, so to say thanks from all of us, you can get a free small McCafé hot drink or medium soft drink. This offer is available from 23/03/2020 – 17/05/2020. Simply show your healthcare ID or you are in uniform when you order.”
