The TACT Program (Trauma-Informed Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) is an 8-week, evidence-based group program for women who identify as having experienced family violence and/or sexual violence. This program is run as a partnership between Colac Area Health and the SAFV Centre in Geelong.
This program provides participants:
- Practical tools and skills in mindfulness and emotional regulation to manage symptoms of trauma.
- Psycho-education about the impacts of trauma on the brain, body and behaviour.
- Information about family violence and sexual violence.
- Opportunity to build connections with other victim/survivors in the community, helping them to feel less alone.
Important information:
- TACT generally runs annually every Tuesday morning from the start of October to the start of December.
- Childcare and light refreshments are provided

There is no cost to the program.
