Thrive hopes to:

  • Build better relationships for children after family violence

  • Provide a safe and caring space for healing to occur following family violence
  • Be responsive to the needs of children and their families
  • Provide consultation to schools and other universal services

Family Violence does not always involve physical violence. Some other types of abuse include verbal, emotional, social, financial, intimidation and stalking behaviours. Witnessing family violence can be traumatic for children and can impact on their anxiety levels, behaviour, and ability to develop friendships and concentrate at school.
