What we do
Colac Area Health’s Family Violence Counselling is a free and confidential, trauma-informed service which works with women aged 15 and over who are currently, or have previously been affected by family violence and reside in the Colac Otway region.
We offer a supportive and respectful environment where you can gain an understanding of violence, explore the impacts of trauma, connect with resources to manage the effects of trauma, and make choices that enhance your quality of life.
Family Violence Counselling focuses on the safety of women and children and can work with women to address safety concerns and provide therapeutic approaches to assist in managing depression, anxiety and improving self-esteem.
Your counselling may be brief, short term, or longer depending on your particular needs and individual goals.
How can you access the service?
