Cancer Services

The Frank Minchinton Centre provides holistic cancer care to people with a cancer diagnosis through our cancer services team, including our McGrath Breast Care Nurse.

What we do

The Frank Minchinton Centre provides low risk chemotherapies as well as other supportive therapies.

The McGrath Breast Care Nurse provides care and support commencing at diagnosis through to breast cancer treatment and beyond.

The Frank Minchinton Centre was opened in 2016 and was funded by the community through Colac Area Health Foundation’s the Long Road Appeal.

The Frank Minchinton Centre is located at the Hospital Entrance.

 

Barwon South Western Regional Integrated Cancer Service (BSWRICS)

Barwon South Western Regional Integrated Cancer Service (BSWRICS) is one of nine partnerships that make up the Victorian Integrated Cancer Services (VICS), Victoria’s cancer service improvement network.

Its work is guided by a Governance Committee and Clinical Advisory Group comprising representatives from its 18 member services.

BSWRICS works with health services and consumers to promote coordinated planning, system integration, and the improvement of cancer services across the Barwon South Western region.
