Colac Area Health has offered support for people who seek treatment for drug and alcohol misuse for twenty years. Our qualified team utilizes up to date information and treatment to help clients in their recovery.
What we do
Colac Area Health’s Alcohol and Other Drug team offer Counselling and Care and Recover (case management) for clients who wish to address their AOD (Alcohol and Other Drug) misuse.
Counselling provides a supportive environment that allows the client to look at the purpose of their drug use and what leads to the use. The client will develop skills and strategies to manage their Alcohol or Other drug misuse.
CRC (Counselling Care and Recovery) is case management where the Clinician takes the lead role in assisting the client to access other services as identified.
These services might include:
- Family Support
- Financial Counselling
- Housing Support
- Referrals for detoxification
Who we care for
The AOD team sees people from the age of 16 and above and accepts referrals from any source.
