Colac Area Health in partnership with Barwon Health are pleased to announce twice a month Endocrinology Diabetes Clinic. Appointments are conducted onsite at Colac Area Health with a Diabetes Educator and Endocrinologist.
Who we care for:
The Endocrinology Clinic Supports people with
- Type 1 diabetes
- Type 2 diabetes
- Diabetes in pregnancy with pre-existing Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes
- Gestational diabetes
- Fitness to Drive assessment– for commercial and private vehicle drivers with diabetes

Is there a cost?
There is no out of pocket cost for this service.
Do I need a referral?
Yes, to access the clinic at “no cost” we require a referral from your GP.
I have a private diabetes educator; can I still access the clinic?
Yes, we will communicate with your private DE & GP regarding any changes made to your diabetes management. If you don’t have a private DE we will book an appointment for you with the CAH Diabetes Educator prior to your Endocrinology appointment.
Can I see the CAH Endocrinology Clinic for other Endocrinology concerns?
No, the Clinic is exclusively for the management of Diabetes.
