At Colac Area Health we take child safety seriously. To create and maintain a child safe organisation we have developed:
- A child safety and wellbeing policy applicable to all areas of the organisation
- Training resources for staff and volunteers
- Awareness for responding to and reporting of suspected child abuse
- Clear organisational expectations to ensure appropriate behaviour around children
- Strategies encouraging children to feel empowered and safe
- Strategies promoting a culture that will listen and respond to concerns of children
